Providence, RI – July 6, 2020 – Marasco & Nesselbush, LLP, a Providence-based injury law firm, announced today that five of its attorneys have recently been selected to the 2020 Rhode Island Super Lawyers or Rising Star list from Thomson Reuters, one of the world’s most trusted providers of information and independent analysis.
Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys.
Marasco & Nesselbush founding partners Joseph P. Marasco and Donna M. Nesselbush both earned this year’s Super Lawyers designation, an achievement they have realized each year since 2013. Mark Grimm, a long-standing member of the firm’s medical malpractice group, was also named to the 2020 Super Lawyers list, a distinction he has earned in each year since 2016.
Two other firm attorneys, Tim Lynch and Jane Duket, both members of the firm’s personal injury practice group, earned the Rising Star designation for the first time in their careers. The Rising Star designation is for attorneys under 40 years of age or who have practiced for less than 10 years.
“It’s a great honor to have five of our firm’s attorneys recognized by brother and sister attorneys as either Super Lawyers or Rising Stars,” said Attorney Joseph P. Marasco. “We pride ourselves on having an extremely experienced team of attorneys and this peer recognition is welcome validation of the reputation our attorneys have for professional excellence.”, added Attorney Donna Nesselbush.
Attorneys nominated as Super Lawyers or Rising Stars are evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Only five percent of attorneys in a state are recognized as Super Lawyers, and only 2.5 percent of attorneys under 40 years of age or with less than ten years of experience achieve the Rising Star designation.
