Providence, RI – June 25, 2020 – Jane R. Duket, an attorney with Marasco & Nesselbush, LLP, a Providence-based injury law firm, has earned the prestigious Rising Star designation from Thomson Reuters, one of the world’s most trusted providers of information and independent analysis.
Rising Star designation is part of Thomson Reuters’s Super Lawyers rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas. Each “Rising Star” has attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive, and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys. The Rising Star designation is for attorneys under 40 years of age or who have practiced for less than 10 years. Only 2.5% of Rhode Island attorneys earn the Rising Star designation in any given year.
“We’re very proud of our colleague Jane Duket for earning the Rising Star designation,” said Attorney Joseph P. Marasco, a founding partner of Marasco & Nesselbush. “This designation confirms what we have known about Jane since she joined our firm nearly a decade ago. She is a tireless fighter for her clients and goes above and beyond in each case to secure justice for those impacted by an injury or medical malpractice.”, added Co-founding partner Donna Nesselbush.
“I was always taught to fight for those who may be unable to fight for themselves,” said Duket. “Seeking justice for an injured person is why I chose to practice personal injury and medical malpractice law. Earning the Rising Star designation is a nice affirmation from my peers about the success and impact I’m having as an attorney in the lives of my clients.”
Attorneys nominated as Super Lawyers or Rising Stars are evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement.
Attorney Duket received her undergraduate degree from Boston College in 2004 and graduated cum laude from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2010. She is admitted to the practice of law in the United States District Court, District of Rhode Island and District of Massachusetts.
She is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association and Rhode Island Association for Justice.
