Philip’s incredible career has resulted in the successful litigation of hundreds of personal injury and medical malpractice cases, including the landmark case Dipetrillo v. Dow Chemical. This case opened the nation’s courtrooms to Vietnam War veterans and others harmed by chemical defoliants such as Agent Orange. Bibeault v. Hanover Insurance Company, a case which established precedent enabling an insured to bring a bad faith claim against an insurer for its handling of an uninsured motorist claim, is another notable litigation for Philip.
Philip graduated from Boston University in 1965, where he received his undergraduate degree, and Howard University School of Law in 1968. He is admitted to the practice of law in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and the federal courts with jurisdiction over both states. Philip has served on the Board of Governors of the American Association for Justice and he is a past President of the Rhode Island Bar Association for Justice.
